Darlene Fae Leach, age 91, Branson, Missouri

 

Funeral services for Darlene Leach will be Monday, May 15, 2023 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Mickey Wilkey officiating.  Graveside services will be Monday,11:00 AM  May 22, 2023 at Center Cemetery in Flanagan, Illinois, with Pastor Mueller officiating

Darlene Fae Leach was born on August 31, 1931 in Flanagan, IL.  She was the daughter of Bertus & Kathryn (Volk) Wiechmann. Darlene married Jesse Leach October 27, 1953 in Flanagan.  She was a loving mother to their five children.  Darlene and Jesse moved to the Tri-Lakes area from Newark, IL.

Darlene was a faithful servant of Christ and attended the Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Forsyth.  She began playing the piano and organ in church at age 11 while in Illinois at St. John’s Lutheran Church.  Along with being a wonderful wife and mother, Darlene was gifted at cooking and prepared delicious meals for her family.  She was an avid collector of Beanie Babies, porcelain tea pots and Avon Christmas and Mother’s Day plates.  Her love and care will be deeply missed.

Darlene entered into rest on May 10, 2023 at Forsyth Nursing and Care at the age of 91.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jesse; and grandson Russell “Rusty” Shoop.

Left to cherish Darlene’s memory are her five children, Leslie Leach (Carol) of East Peoria, IL, Edwin Leach (Cheryl) of Pensacola, FL, Jesse V. Leach (Susan) of Kimberling City, MO, Carolyn Jane Shoop of Odell, IL and Cynthia Evans of Hollister along with eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
