Darleen Marie Jackson, Kimberling City, MO, daughter of Nome and Helen (Freeman) Knudsen, was born December 22, 1926, in Mesa, AR and departed this life on July 26, 2021, at the age of 94.
Darleen had been a resident of the area for thirty-five years moving here from Kansas City, MO. She worked as a revenue officer for the city of Kansas City, MO for more than thirty years before retiring with her husband, Sam, to the Ozarks. Darleen loved to sew, making beautiful prayer quilts for her church and she enjoyed gardening, taking care of her many flowers.
Darleen was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Jackson; her parents; brother, Lewis Knudsen and sister, Norma Hook.
Survivors include: son, Sam Jackson and wife, Pat of Raymore, MO; daughter, Linda Scott and husband, Vinson of Canton, GA; three grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside service for Darleen will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Philibert Cemetery, Kimberling City, MO with Pastor and longtime friend, Jerry Jenkins officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Cox Health Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
