Clarence "Brad" Ruggles...
Clarence "Brad" Ruggles was born on January 16, 1929 in Idabelle, Oklahoma to Georgia and Harry Ruggles. He passed at home on April 6, 2025 at the age of 96. Brad was united in Marriage to Jacqueline J. Shores “Jackie” on July 28, 1950 and they had four sons, and one daughter. Brad and Jackie moved to Cassville from Colorado Springs in 1994 and have resided at Hilltop since.
Brad was a Korean War Marine veteran and was previously active as an officer in the Cassville American Legion. Brad was known for his creative woodworking skills and his wonderful lush gardens. In his younger years in Manitou Springs, Colorado he was a volunteer firefighter and auto body shop owner. He was well recognized as a top-notch automotive painter. In Cassville, Brad worked at Arning Industries and for Barry County, mapping county roads and replacing signage before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; three sons, Ron Ruggles (Amy) of Holiday Island, Rick Ruggles of Osceola, Bob Ruggles (Linda) of Osceola; one daughter, Joyce Dykes (Robert) of Cassville, along with 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Marion Ruggles and oldest son, Chris Ruggles.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
