Cecil “Rick” Ray Ford Jr., 66, of Harrison, Arkansas.
Cecil “Rick” Ray Ford Jr., 66, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away on Saturday April 12, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on August 14, 1958, in Forrest City, Arkansas, the son of Cecil Ray and Lillian (Stewart) Ford Sr.
Rick, also known as Big Papa or Papa Bear, had a huge heart and opened his home to whoever needed it. He loved everybody and would literally take his shirt off his back if you needed it. Of course, it would have been too big!!!! Rick was a rugged outdoorsman who thrived outside, whether he was fishing or hunting. He was a great musician and played the bass guitar in “The Last Chance Band”. Rick was a master electrician and traveled all over the world working. He retired 7 years ago and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Rick and Kathy married 23 years ago and opened their doors to anyone needing love.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Kathy. Rick and Kathy each had children so there are his, hers and their kids. His children Bryan Ford, Jason (Leslie) Ford, Charity Ford, stepsons Micheal (Anna) Bagby, Brandon Watlington and chosen son Jake (Bailey) Neal. Also, Rick leaves behind numerous grandchildren and a brother Anthony (Anita) Ford.
Rick will dearly be missed by all that knew and loved him.
