Caleb Hamilton Adams, age 88, of Eagle Rock, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, at his home.
He was born December 3, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Frank and Beulah (Bridges) Adams. He was united in marriage in 1976 in Kansas City, Missouri to EJ Dalin, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Jeff Dalin of Kansas City, Kansas; daughter, Juli Rasmussen and her husband David of Redmond, Washington and two grandchildren, Annika Rasmussen and Dahlia Rasmussen.
Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Judy Adams.
Caleb attended school in Kansas City, Missouri through 8th grade when his family moved to Roeland Park, Kansas. He graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in 1954. He attended Kansas University where he joined Pi Kappa Alpha, then attended Kansas City University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He served in the Air Force Reserves. Caleb worked in sales and opened his own company in 1983, selling industrial packaging equipment. He "mostly" retired in 2002 when he and EJ moved from Shawnee, Kansas to Golden, Missouri. They moved to Eagle Rock in 2020.
Caleb enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, his many dogs, good scotch, music, funny jokes, and spending quality time with friends and family. He contributed to his local community in many ways. Two of his favorite “jobs” were organizing and setting off Fourth of July fireworks and running the snow plow. He was involved in the Boy Scout program with Jeff and coached Juli's softball team for ten years. Caleb was an avid Kansas University basketball and Kansas City Chiefs football fan. After moving to Golden, he became a member of White River Valley Sportsman's Association where he served as president and board member. Caleb was a member of All Faith United Methodist Church. His larger-than-life presence will be missed.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, June 5, 2025 at All Faith United Methodist Church in Eagle Rock, Missouri. Pastor Bill Kenagy will conduct the service. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
