Betty Lou Rosencrans (Whorton), age 92, passed away on March 2, 2026.
Betty Lou Rosencrans (Whorton), 92 of Hollister, was born on June 12,1933 to Lige and Albertie Whorton (Pleake) in Taney County, Missouri. She passed away on March 2, 2026 at the Shepherd of the Hills Living Center in Branson. She attended school K-8 in Kirbyville MO then went to Branson High School where she met her soon to be husband, Norman. They graduated in 1951.
Betty married Norman Everett Rosencrans on June 12, 1959 in Branson. She was the head cook at the Hollister School system for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Rosencrans and her brother’s Kenneth and Harold Whorton. She is survived by her daughter Norma Lawson husband Alan. Granddaughter Avery Pearman husband Ryan and three great grandchildren Everett, Ezlynn, and Emberly.
She enjoyed listening to live country music and always looked forward to visits from her friends and family.
Graveside services will be Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, 1638 E. State Hwy 76, Branson, MO 65616. Arrangements are in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
