Bernice Estelle Anthony, age 87, of Seligman, Missouri

Bernice Estelle Anthony, age 87, of Seligman, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation in Cassville, Missouri.

            She was born December 1, 1935 in Berwyn, Illinois the daughter of George and Bernice (Peterson) Waggoner. Bernice was united in marriage to Henry “Hank” Anthony, who preceded her in death on April 11, 1996. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Lorraine Glomb and Margaret Ahmer.

            Surviving are one sister, Sally Mae Kush of Reseda, California and a half sister, Karen Waggoner of Arbor Vitae, Wisconsin and two half brothers, Tom Waggoner of Wisconsin and George Waggoner of Almond, Wisconsin.

            Bernice attended school in Chicago, Illinois graduating from Kelly High School. She was employed as an inspector at a local chicken plant for several years. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and being with her friends.

            Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

            Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Bernice.
