Alex James Smith, age 21, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his home.
He was born May 10, 2000 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Steven and Amanda (Armer) Smith.
Alex received his education at Cassville High School. Moving to Springfield, Missouri he was employed by E&H Seamless Guttering and later by Steelman Transportation where he was a diesel mechanic. He liked skateboarding, playing video games, grilling and riding his motorcycle but most of all he loved spending time with his son.
Surviving are his fiancée, Aleacia Chavez of Springfield, Missouri; one son, Caezen Chavez-Smith of Springfield, Missouri; his father, Steven Smith and his wife Merry of Springfield, Missouri; his mother Amanda Armer and her fiancé Mark McCullough of Springfield, Missouri; one brother Kingston Smith of Springfield, Missouri; three sisters, Katelynn Smith of Cassville, Missouri, Eilley Smith of Springfield, Missouri and Alana Smith also of Springfield, Missouri.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Larry Armer and Rita Kothenbeutel; paternal grandmother, Mary Kennedy and one brother, Corey Smith.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Marshal Ford will conduct the services.
