Shawn Lane is being remembered as someone who served the community he lived in, whether it was through the business world or as a government official.
The Yellville mayor died Friday night at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House according to a report posted by KTLO.
Lane had been Yellville’s Mayor since 2007 and served three years prior to that on the City Council.
During his time as mayor, Lane led several city projects and improvement initiatives around Yellville, including park improvements, sidewalk improvements and upgrades to the city’s infrastructure.
