Winter Storm Watch for the Lakes Region Tuesday

A winter storm is expected to impact the Lakes Region this week.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for all of the counties in both the Arkansas and Missouri Lakes Region. The watch will be in effect Tuesday afternoon for northern Arkansas with southern Missouri going under the watch Tuesday evening. The watch will extend until early Wednesday morning.

Forecasters are calling for the potential of four to six inches of snow with isolated higher amounts. In the statement issued by the Weather Service, roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous and could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
