Among crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri Highway Patrol this weekend includes a fatality accident in southeastern Taney County.
According to the crash report, the accident occurred on Highway 125 in Rueter late Sunday morning, when a car driven by a 51-year-old male from Sparta failed to negotiate a curve running off the roadway striking a fence and a tree. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troop D works two other crashes, both on Sunday, which resulted in minor injuries. Both accidents were in Stone County with the first being a two-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon northeast of Blue Eye on Highway 86 resulting in three minor injuries including to a 30-year-old female from Omaha. The injured were treated at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
The second accident was a single-vehicle crash that occurred late Sunday night on Highway H resulting in minor injuries to a woman from Shell Knob and a woman from Green Forest. Both victims were treated at Cox Medical Center in Branson.
