The last day of the year will see the beginning of a warm-up that will go into the New Year.
The National Weather Service indicates high temperatures in most of the region will return to the 50s today and will stay above normal into next week. There will be several days over the next week that highs may approach or move into the 60s.. Overall, low temperatures are expected to stay above freezing during this period.
While temperatures will moderate, there is no precipitation in the forecast as drought conditions continue to impact the Lakes Region.
