The National Weather Service has updated information on the potential for severe weather this afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for much of the Lakes Region through the evening. The watch includes Taney County and the Branson area in Missouri as well as Boone County and areas around Harrison in Arkansas.

Missouri: Christian, Ozark, Taney
Arkansas: Boone, Carroll, Madison, Marion, Newton, Searcy
The National Storm Prediction Center from Norman, Oklahoma has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 7:00 this evening that includes the western section of the Lakes Region including Barry and Stone Counties including areas around Table Rock Lake.
Scattered thunderstorms are developing in northwestern Oklahoma that will move into the Lakes Region later this afternoon.
The National Weather Service has updated the severe weather projections putting the eastern sections of the Lakes Region including much of Bull Shoals Lake at an Enhanced Level for severe storms.
Currently the Highway 65 corridor between Branson and Harrison remains at a Slight Risk of Severe Weather.
