While the remnants of Hurricane Helene brought scattered showers and cool and windy conditions to the area, this upcoming week looks to be dry with slightly above normal temperatures.
According to forecasters with the National Weather Service, the week will have high temperatures in the 80s with a warm-up mid-week that will have some areas with highs approaching 90.
Currently, no rain is in the forecast as some areas continue to have rising drought levels. Last week’s report from the U.S. Drought Monitor has some areas in a moderate to severe drought entering the fall months.
