The Lakes Region will experience a warm-up to end the week only to see arctic air return to the Ozarks over the weekend.
The National Weather Service says that temperatures by the end of the week could reach the upper 50s but will also bring some slight rain chances Friday into Saturday morning.
The rain will be in advance of another arctic front with temperatures expected to drop even lower than with the previous arctic front last week. By Sunday, temperatures will be around 20s for highs and in the single digits for lows with wind chills below zero.
The colder conditions are expected to last through most of next week.
