Last October, Violet Hensley, long time fiddle player who performed many years at Silver Dollar City, celebrated her 109th Birthday. Hensley, who lives in Yellville, made a wish that she hoped to receive 1000 birthday cards.
Those cards started coming in over the following weeks and according to a report published this past weekend by KTLO, has received to date 2,311 cards from across the country and a few from around the world. The report states Hensley has had all of the cards read to her by family and friends.
