Vince Leist, President and CEO of North Arkansas Regional Medical Center Announces Retirement

Leist will retire by Dec. 31, 2021.

Harrison, Arkansas, October 6th 2021- North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) announced today that the hospital’s President and CEO has decided to retire effective December 31st 2021.

Mr. Leist has served NARMC as President and CEO since July of 2011. Mr. Leist has been working with the Board of Directors for several months to develop and implement a plan for his replacement. After December 31st he will remain a consultant to the Board to assure a smooth leadership transition. “Vince’s leadership over the past 10 years has positioned our hospital well for the future,” said Board Secretary Dan Bowers. “He has improved quality, strengthened our financial position and developed a strong leadership team to lead the organization into the future.”

Prior to being named President and CEO of NARMC, Mr. Leist served as Chief Operating Officer for San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, California for 6 years and as Senior Vice President of Operations for HCA Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada for 9 years. Mr. Leist’s healthcare career has spanned 46 years serving as a direct healthcare provider in early years and the last 25 years in executive leadership roles.

“NARMC and the community have benefited from Mr. Leist’s leadership,” said Board Chair Matt Miller. “Vince made the delivery of high quality patient care, patient safety and the patient experience organizational priorities. The Board of Directors is actively engaged in the process of finding the next CEO for NARMC. Announcements on this activity will be made in the upcoming weeks.
