Veterans of the Ozarks QPR Training Next Week

QPR is becoming as well known as the process it is based on, CPR. 

QPR means Question, Persuade, and Refer and is the basis for Suicide Prevention Awareness and Action that many organizations have been facilitating including the Stone and Taney County Health Departments.

Another group has stepped up to help as the Veterans of the Ozarks have been active in promoting QPR to help veterans facing mental health problems. Dave McAllister of the Veterans of the Ozarks has been delivering the message around the Lakes Region and Thursday stopped by KRZK’s “The Upside” program to talk about the upcoming training Monday at the Elks Lodge in Kimberling City. McAllister says the training takes about an hour and is free to anyone who wants to participate. McAllister adds that their organization has mobile training for organizations that are interested in participating.
