U of O Northark Movie Night Features Movie in Star Wars Series

A recently released movie in the Star Wars series of films will be featured at a movie night in August.

The press release from U of A Northark is below:

 Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and your favorite Star Wars fans for an evening of family fun at UA Northark's Free Summer Movie Night featuring the newly released The Mandalorian and Grogu on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The movie will be shown in the Bill Baker Amphitheatre on the South Campus.

Activities begin at 6:00 p.m. with inflatable water slides, bounce houses and food trucks.

Young Jedi are encouraged to dress as their favorite Star Wars characters for the Star Wars Costume Contest, which begins at 7:30 p.m. on stage. Children and youth ages eighteen and under are eligible to participate, and prizes will be awarded to the top three costumes.

As the sun goes down, the big screen comes to life with The Mandalorian and Grogu beginning at 8:15 p.m. Admission is free, and complimentary popcorn will be provided while supplies last. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early.

Note: New Country 1029 will have a Live Radio Party from the event from 6:00 to 8:00 that evening.
