A two-vehicle accident Friday morning near Harrison resulted in the deaths of two Texas residents and injuries to a Springfield woman.
Seventy-three-year-old David Rydbeck and 68-year-old Ann Rydbeck, both of Millsap, were pronounced dead, and 34-year-old Urangoo Elliott was transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.
According to the Arkansas State Police, David Rydbeck was traveling on U.S. Highway 65 near the intersection with U.S. Highway 62/412 at Bear Creek Springs, and Ann Rydbeck was his passenger. He reportedly attempted to make a U-turn and turned into the path of a van driven by Elliott in the passing lane. Elliott’s van struck the driver’s side door of David Rydbeck’s vehicle.
