The final wave of showers and thunderstorms that pushed through the Ozarks Friday and Saturday produced a tornado near the Lakes Region.
The National Weather Service says in Douglas County, a survey team measured an EF-1 tornado southwest of Mt. Zion that reached an estimated maximum wind speed of 95 mph. The tornado was on the ground for approximately two minutes, just after 6:00 pm Friday and traveled around half of mile.
An EF-0 tornado was also reported near Seymour in Webster County.
Damage included snapped and uprooted trees, thrown branches, and damage to a barn roof. No injuries or deaths were reported from either tornado.
The final round of storms on Saturday did not cause damage in the immediate area though tree damage was reported in northwest Arkansas in Washington County near Fayetteville.
