The Central Taney County Fire Protection District battle a blaze that destroys two homes. .
District officials tell Ozarks First that they received a call around 1:45 Tuesday morning about the fire on Key Cove Road near Rockaway Beach. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered two houses totally involved. According to the report, a person in one of the homes woke up to discover a fire on their front porch with the family able to escape through a back door.
In all, both houses, a shed, and a vehicle were destroyed in the blaze that is still under investigation by fire officials. Forsyth and Western Taney County Firefighters assisted Central Taney County in battling the fire.
No injuries were reported.
