The Missouri State Highway Patrol has worked a pair of traffic crashed during the final days of 2023 that has taken the lives of people from Arkansas and Texas.
Troop D works a single-vehicle crash in Barry County Friday during the Noon Hour west of Exeter on Highway 76. The MSHP Crash Report indicates a the driver of a SUV, 66-year-old Allen Lamar of Wichita Falls, Texas, suffered a medical condition, losing control of the vehicle and striking an embankment. Lamar died in the crash while a passenger, 65-year-old Jean Lamar, suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, early Saturday morning, an Arkansas man died in a two vehicle crash worked by Troop G in Ozark County. According to the online report, a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Joseph Kish of Lakeview crossed the centerline of Highway 5 south of Wasola and collided with a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Justin Ivey of Mountain Home. Kish died in the crash while sustained moderate injuries.
