The Green Amendment could strengthen Arkansas' medical marijuana program, according to Melissa Fultz.
Fultz was interviewed on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday. She encouraged listeners to read the amendment online. The amendment's aim is to widen access to medical marijuana. For Fultz, the motive behind her medical marijuana advocacy is personal.
She explained that her son survived a terrible car accident that left him needing three neck surgeries and two on his lower back at the age of 16. Doctors provided bad news 14 years later.
The opioids Fultz' son was taking were shortening his life in dramatic ways. He was not just on opioids, he took others. His mother revealed that his neuropsychologist guided him to consider using marijuana.
Through a long journey and overcoming withdrawals, he turned his life around and now enjoys a fulfilling career and has children.
He's on a mission to give back and help others. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Fultz is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
