Terry Register is retiring from the Boone County Library.
Register and Madison Ramsey appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday, discussing Register's retirement and more. Word of her retirement got out on the broadcast.
She said she will travel the nation in her truck and camper. She's going to visit all of the national parks. Later, Register listed the events and activities happening at the library this month.
This month's schedule includes:
- Friends of the Library book sale - Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the organization members - Open to the public from 12 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Oct. 24 - 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. open to the public. Oct. 25 - 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. - That's the half price bargain room $3 a bag sale.
- Red Cross blood drive - Oct. `17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Book drawings for the month
- Halloween word search in the children's library
- Afterschool programs - Thursdays at 4 p.m.
- Halloween Owl ornament making - Oct. 16
