One area school district is getting a head start on Spring Break thanks to Thursday’s storms that moved through the region.
Officials in the Flippin School District announce the cancellation of classes today due to power outages around the town and Marion County. In a Facebook Post, school officials say power is off at the school with several power poles broken around the area. The extra day off comes in advance of Spring Break that starts in the district next week.
Several hundred customers in Marion County are still without power this morning due to the storms that moved through on Thursday.
