Storms that moved through the Lakes Region Saturday causes a major problem for Entergy Customers in Northwest Boone County.
According to Entergy Officials, lighting caused extensive damage to equipment that knocked out power to over 1,000 customers in areas including Omaha, Cricket Creek, and Burlington. Officials add that new equipment from Little Rock had to be delivered to repair the damage system.
The extended outage has knocked New County 1029 off the air though programming is still available online at the New Country 1029 Website.
No other major damage has been reported due to storms as another slight chance of storms are in the forecast for Sunday afternoon but otherwise hot and dry conditions will be returning to the region over the next few days.
