UPDATE: Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for the Lakes Region through the evening with up to an inch of snow and a thin glaze of ice possibly impacting travel this evening.

The Lakes Region is expected to experience some winter weather as the calendar turns to December.
The National Weather Service says the region has a chance of a trace of snow with some possible freezing rain and sleet mixed in with the precipitation. Some minor travel impacts are possible, especially this evening before the precipitation moves out though a major winter weather event is not expected.
Temperatures remain below normal with highs today in the low to mid 30s before going up to the 40s on Tuesday.
