Silver Dollar City has been fined over $14,000 by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration after an incident which resulted in the death of a park employee earlier this year.
The employee from the park’s Maintenance and Construction staff suffered critical injuries on the job and passed away due to those injuries the following day.
In a statement released to the media, Silver Dollar City says that they have worked with OSHA the last few months to address the situation and discuss the revisions the park has made for safeguards in restricted areas.
