Northern Arkansas was the focus of heavy rain and thunderstorms that moved through the Lakes Region Wednesday.
The National Weather Service issued several Flash Flood Warnings and Advisories for the area, including in Harrison. A report by the Boone County Office of Emergency Management indicated that a car stalled in two and a half feet of water next to Crooked Creak around Stephenson and Necessity Roads. According to another report received by the NWS, several trees were knocked down due to strong winds along Beaver Lake near Busch.
Some lingering scattered showers are possible today with Friday beginning the warm-up to extremely hot temperatures, which could see readings approaching 100 degrees early next week.
