Shooting Incident in Bull Shoals Leads to Two Deaths

Two people are dead in what authorities believe to be a murder-suicide.

According to a report from the Arkansas State Police posted by KTLO, the Bull Shoals Police Department was called to the location of a shooting around 6:30 Monday morning. Arriving officers discovered 48-year-old Anita Due of Bull Shoals in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home where she later died. 

The suspect in the shooting was here estranged husband, 49-year-old Brooks Due of Briarcliff and a manhunt involving law enforcement in both Marion and Baxter Counties as well as the Arkansas State Police began. The manhunt ended with the discover of Brooks Due’s Body later in the day near Norfork Lake. Due had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
