With a major blast of winter cold entering the Ozarks, ahead of that system a round of spring-like storms pelted the Lakes Region late last night into early this morning.
Storm reports to the National Weather Service include ¾ to one inch size hail falling in Taney County in areas between Forsyth and Taneyville as well as around the Walnut Shade area. Similar size hail was also noted by several observers in Barry County where several trees were also reported down.
White River Valley Electric in Missouri and Entergy in Arkansas are reporting scattered power outages after the storm as crews continue to work to restore power.
