Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible in the Lakes Region today with some severe storms possible.
The National Weather Service says puts the region at a Slight Risk for severe weather with quarter size hail, wind gusts between 60-75 MPH, and heavy downpours possible.
Forecasters say the storms will be scattered, and many areas will remain dry during the day. Storms that may develop are expected to do so after 3:00 this afternoon.
Rain chances continue through Friday with temperatures staying hot through the weekend.
