A Searcy County man has been arrested after allegedly firing a gun shot at his brother.
Twenty-year-old Dillon Carlton is facing felony counts of aggravated assault and terroristic threatening.
Sheriff Kenny Cassell tells KTLO that his office received a call Sunday of a resident brandishing a firearm on Pickle Road in northwestern Searcy County. The incident reportedly began when Carlton became angry with his family concerning events occurring two days prior. Before law enforcement arrived, he allegedly fired a shot at a vehicle his brother was occupying.
Sheriff Cassell says after authorities arrived, he contacted Carlton via a loudspeaker. Carlton was armed, but he exited the residence and surrendered himself to the sheriff and his deputies.
Carlton was booked into in the Searcy County Detention Center and released nearly an hour later. His bond was not listed on the jail log.
