In the search for a new location for the Boone County Quorum Court, a once-promising prospect is no longer being considered.
KHOZ Around the Table guest host Heath Kirkpatrick discussed updates on the Boone County Quorum Court while on the show. “We are back to square one,” Kirkpatrick said. He said a big open area is needed for the court, and while the Duran Center was considered, the owner has decided not to sell due to concerns.
Another option is the old First National Bank, but Kirkpatrick said that it does not have the square footage needed. He said the desire is for the court to stay downtown or close to it. Aside from the bank, Kirkpatrick said there are “really no other viable options right now.”
