The Memorial Day Weekend begins with a round of heavy rain.
Showers and Thunderstorms rolled through the region Saturday morning leading to several Flash Flood Warnings followed by Flood Warnings. The James River at both Boaz and Galena are expected to rise above Flood Stage twice over the next few days as showers develop, move out, then followed by another round of showers. As of 10:00 Saturday morning, no Flood Warnings have been issued in Arkansas, though heavy rain will move through the region and the entire area in both Arkansas and Missouri is under a Flood Watch into Monday evening.
No Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued in the immediate area for this first round of storms but after a break Saturday afternoon, severe storms and heavy rain will again be a possibility Saturday night into Sunday.
