The Probable Cause Affidavit has been filed and released in the case of the September fire at Dollar General in downtown Harrison that has led to an arrest.

According to that affidavit filed by the Harrison Fire Department, 25-year-old Stephanie Marie Cash of Harrison, a store employee, is seen on video spending several minutes in the isle where the fire started. She was the only person in that isle for over an hour prior to the fire according to the video. According to the investigation, nothing in that isle would have caught fire without assistance.

Cash’s actions seen on video indicate she was aware of the fire but did not tell her co-workers as the store was closing. According to the affidavit Cash, who was released on a $25,000 Bond, denies having anything to do with starting the fire.

Cash if facing felony charges of Arson and Aggravated Assault in the incident with her next appearance in Boone County Circuit Court scheduled for next Tuesday.
