Customers in the Capps Road & HWY 43 S area affected.
Press Release from the SW Boone County Water Association:
A “Precautionary Boil Order Notice” has been issued for the residents of SW Boone County Water Association that live on Hwy 392 W from Terrapin Creek Rd to Lone Oak Dairy Rd. This includes all side roads. And on Hwy 43 S from Grubb Springs Community Building to SW Boone Tanks and Well House on Hwy 43S. This also includes all side roads.
Therefore, as a precaution, all affected customers are advised that the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled briskly for one (1) minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded, and only boiled water be used for making ice. As an alternative bottled water may be used.
The “Precautionary Boil Order Notice” will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected, an adequate disinfectant level is established throughout the distribution system and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
If you have any questions, you may contact the SW Boone County Water Association office at 870-741-0921.
