Harrison's Creekside Community Center offers pickleball, and there's a lot that goes into that.
Parks Director Chuck Eddington and Sports and After School Coordinator Austin Smith from the city's parks and recreation department appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to discuss what the center provides. Smith said Creekside has two indoor pickleball courts.
Eventually, the center will have more. Eddington said that the center has expanded the sport. Both guests highlighted the popularity of pickleball at Creekside.
Smith said Creekside is normally open gym, but the court will remain open this week from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. for pickleball because the Youth Center is closed. Eddington talked about another opportunity for pickleball lovers.
Eddington said anyone wanting to play the sport can enjoy the Creekside courts on the weekends. Pickleball is popular, and the two men spoke to why.
Smith said it's a sport everyone can enjoy, and Eddington agreed. Additional information about pickleball at Creekside is online. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Eddington and Smith is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
