A man from Ozark County is facing charges for an incident in Boone County last week.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office posted by KTLO, 55-year-old Robert Davidson of Gainesville is facing nearly a dozen charges for an incident that happened between Branson and Harrison on Highway 65.
A 9-1-1 call from an off duty Branson Police Officer reported that a domestic dispute was ongoing in a moving vehicle between a man later identified as Davidson and a woman. The vehicle eventually pulled off the road and when the off duty officer tried to intervene, Davidson got back in the vehicle and continuing heading south on Highway 65. Later, a Harrison Police officer made a traffic stop on the vehicle later to be joined by a Boone County Deputy. The victim said both she and Davidson had been drinking and a field sobriety test on Davidson confirmed he was driving above the legal limit of alcohol allowed. A search of the vehicle also uncovered marijuana purchased at a dispensary plus other drug items.
Davidson is facing felony charges of second degree domestic battery, first degree false imprisonment and aggravated assault on family or household member along with several misdemeanor charges.
Davidson was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
