OOI Reopens Winter Energy Assistance

Ozarks Opportunities, Inc. (OOI) of Harrison has announced that the Winter Crisis Energy Assistance program has reopened.

The program may pay up to $500 toward past due amounts on energy bills. If your past due amount is more than $500, you will be required to enter into a COVID-19-related Delayed Payment Agreement (DPA) with the energy provider and provide proof of the DPA.

Assistance is available to help pay bills for electric, natural gas, propane, fuel oil (i.e., kerosene), wood and other heating fuels.

Anyone already having received crisis benefits this year is not eligible to receive another benefit. Those that applied for benefits earlier this year but were denied for any reason may re-apply.

Only complete applications with all required supporting documents will be accepted. Incomplete applications will be returned.

The OOI service area includes Baxter, Boone, Marion, Newton and Searcy counties.
