After seven men escaped the Barry County Jail last week, one inmate still remains at-large according to the Barry County Sheriff's Office.
Mario Che-Tiul is believed to be trying to leave the area. Barry County authorities have turned the search over to the U.S. Marshals according to Ozarks First.
Barry County Sheriff Danny Boyd recapped the events to Ozarks First which began around 11:15 Thursday night when seven inmates were able to overpower corrections officers and escape. Six of the seven inmates were recaptured within 12 hours but Che-Tiul still remains at large.
This is the second escape from the Barry County Jail in a year and Boyd tells Ozarks First that though a new jail will be completed next summer, they still need to figure out how to make their current facilities work until that time.
The complete story and video feature can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
