A 39-year-old Omaha man faces three felony sex charges after he allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl.
Erich Wendell Skaggs was arrested July 30 on a Class Y felony of rape, as well as felony second-degree sexual assault and sexual indecency with a child. He was released from the Boone County Detention Center Tuesday on a $50,000 bond. Class Y felonies are the most serious classification of crime in Arkansas not punishable by the death penalty.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim was an overnight guest of a juvenile in Skaggs’ home in May. When the juvenile left the room to take a shower, Skaggs allegedly began touching the victim inappropriately and then raped the child.
