A program that combines military training with community needs is coming back to the region.

According to a post from the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District (NWAEDD), they have again teamed up with the Innovative Readiness Training Program (IRT) to begin a new mission in northwest Arkansas.

The U.S. Army Reserve through the Department of Defense will be conducting the Ozark Wellness Mission from July 16th-25th on the campuses of Jasper and Kingston Schools. According to the release, services include no-cost dental vision and medical care. Veterinary services will also be available at the Jasper Campus during this time.

According to the NWAEDD release, the care is provided by credentialed healthcare professionals with services open to everyone in the community with no insurance of identification required.

According to their Facebook Page, IRT is a program which allows the military to give personnel training for deployment while at the same time helping communities by providing healthcare and other services.
