North Arkansas College offers more to adults than GED classes, according to Amy Roberts, assistant director of adult education.
Roberts appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday to discuss what the college offers. While the adult education department does have GED classes, it has more. The college provides teaching on financial and digital skills too.
The assistant director outlined more practical skills the program equips students with. Workforce skills are also taught. Students learn skills like resume writing, interviewing and proper interview dress code.
The department also works with students who already have a high school diploma. They can help those students polish certain skill sets.
The adult-focused team also provides ESL and citizenship classes. Anyone with questions about what's available can reach Roberts by phone at 870-391-3196. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Roberts is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
