The North Arkansas College Robotics Department is open and offers opportunities for students.
Dr. Ricky Tomkins from the Northark College Robotics Department appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Monday to discuss the department. He said the department has afforded the college the space to train students in the technology. Tomkins also pointed to something students should know ahead of time.
He said manufacturing isn't dirty. Also, he said those tech jobs are local. Students don't need to go out of state to do the work; Tomkins highlighted local gun manufacturing.
Tomkins added that the school makes it a point to connect students with employers. Additional information is on the college's website. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Tomkins is on the "Around The Table" Facebook page.
