The person selected to take over the leadership of a university in Oklahoma is from the region
According to a release from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, they have named Dr. Kayla Hale as their 13th President beginning August 1.
According to follow-up information from the Harrison Daily Times, Dr. Hale is the daughter of James and Imogene Strain of Western Grove. Dr. Hale is a 1983 graduate of Western Grove High School.
According to the release, Dr. Hale goes to the University of Science and Arts after serving 25 years at the University of Tulsa in various capacities.
