Several area Arkansas and Missouri Newspapers are under new ownership.
A release from Carpenter Media Group last week indicates they have purchased 16 community newspapers in Arkansas, Missouri and Illinois from Phillips Media Group.
Phillips has owned and operated several newspapers in the region including the Harrison Daily Times, the Newton County Times, and the Baxter Bulletin as well as the Christian County Headliner in Missouri. According to the release, Carpenter also purchased the Nowata Printing Company in Springfield.
