North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) Donor Relations and Grants Coordinator Dan Dillard talked Wednesday about an active fundraising effort.
Dillard appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" Wednesday with NARMC's Director of Marketing and Community Relations Kim Rosson. Dillard said there's an opportunity to give on Oct. 28. It's the "One Day Giving Day."
He said it started in 2022, so this is the second annual occurrence of the event. "We've already got about a dozen local restaurants and businesses on board," Dillard said. The hope is to get more.
Dillard the restaurants are sending 10% of their sales to local cancer care efforts. Signs are out to show which places are participating.
Rosson gave an example of the type of items this event raises money for. She said the hospital gave the green light on a linear accelerator for cancer care. This item is over $3 million.
