
New Court Filings this week revels more details of a high-speed pursuit last summer that injured a Boone County Deputy.
The filings involved the case of 34-year-old Troy Patrick of Harrison who fled from an officer after he attempted to pull him over for speeding, According to the Probable Cause Affidavit, the pursuit started late in the evening of August 28 near the intersection of Highway 43 and Cottonwood Drive and continued for several miles with speed at times reaching 120 MPH. Eventually, both vehicles crashed with the pursuing officer, Deputy David Everhart, being injured in the crash. Other deputies and Harrison Police Officers eventually arrived on the scene and took Patrick into custody. Patrick admitted to having consumed alcohol but tested below the legal limit according to the court document.
Patrick is facing felony charges Fleeing in a Vehicle Causing Physical Injury and with Aggravated Assault/Public Intoxication along with over a dozen other misdemeanor charges in the incident.
Patrick was released after posting a $15,000 Bond. A court date was scheduled in September but no report of that has been filed. instead Patrick's attorney filed a Motion of Discovery on Thursday for a trial with a date not yet announced.
